Hotspot / tethering
Hotspot (tethering) shares your phone’s mobile data with a laptop, tablet, or another phone. Some travel eSIM plans allow it freely; others restrict or count hotspot toward a smaller allowance. Always read the plan label before you rely on tethering for work. On iPhone and Android, enable Personal Hotspot after the eSIM line is active and set as the mobile data line. Prefer 4G/LTE if 5G is unstable on a new network. Close unused tethers to stretch a daily fair-use bucket. Simbo marks hotspot-relevant plans where the catalog provides that signal. If you must share internet with kids’ devices, pick a plan size with margin and keep a top-up path ready.
