Dual SIM

Dual-SIM phones can keep two lines active — typically one physical SIM and one eSIM, or two eSIMs on newer models. Travelers use this to keep a home number for SMS while a travel eSIM supplies data. Set the travel eSIM as the mobile data line and disable data roaming on the home line to avoid surprise charges. Voice and SMS defaults can stay on the home SIM if you want. Simbo plans assume many customers run dual-SIM this way. If your phone only holds one eSIM and no physical SIM, you can still use a travel eSIM for data and rely on apps for messaging.
